Pilates-based movement programs are designed for each individual and may include exercises on mats and/or specialized Pilates equipment. For those who have suffered an injury, special attention is given to rehabilitating physical damage and its effects.

Mat work is an excellent way to improve strength, flexibility, muscle tone and general fitness. Charlotte will only recommend mat work for healthy individuals who are not suffering from any significant back, neck or joint problems.

Pilates equipment uses spring-based resistance. The feedback it provides allows you to become aware of and to target specific muscles for attention. Because of the nature of the work, a Pilates-based movement program can be designed to benefit almost anybody: the fit; the athlete; the golfer; the injured; the elderly.
